December table runner machine embroidery design is approximately 14 by 32 inches. For this project you will need to have 20 by 38 inches linen fabric prewashed and pressed.

First step is to mark your cloth with guidelines as shown on diagram 1. You will need the guidelines to align checkpoints of the designs. Start with element December_02_06 following with December_02_02, make sure the checkpoints are aligned with previous design. Follow color chart to complete the border for table runner December. 

COLOR CHART

December_02_06. 7633 stitches, 95 mm x 95.3 mm. Hoop one layer of water-soluble stabilizer (Vilene). Mark the center of design on your linen and then place it on the hoop. Note: to fit 4 x 4 hoop design situated diagonally. Sew the basting stitch after the second checkpoint to hold the fabric to the stabilizer. Start embroidery:

  1. Light green, first check points
  2. Light green, second check point
  3. Same color outline
  4. STOP – (do not change the thread) cut excess fabric exactly as shown on figure 1
  5. Brown
  6. Christmas green
  7. Light green
  8. Red

December_02_02. 8729 stitches, 95.1 mm x 95.4 mm. Hoop one layer of water-soluble stabilizer (Vilene). Mark the center of design on your linen and then align the checkpoints, after second one sew the basting stitch to hold the fabric to the stabilizer. Start embroidery:

  1. Light green, first checkpoints
  2. Light green, second checkpoint
  3. Same color outline
  4. STOP – (do not change the thread) cut excess fabric exactly as shown on figure 2
  5. Dark red
  6. Red
  7. Light red

  1. Light green, first check point
  2. Light green, second check point
  3. Same color outline
  4. STOP – (do not change the thread) cut excess fabric exactly as shown on figure 3. Continue embroidery.

December_02_03. 3041 stitches, 56.4 mm x 80.6 mm. Hoop one layer of water-soluble stabilizer (Vilene). Mark center of design on your fabric as shown on diagram 2. Start embroidery:

  1. Light green, outline
  2. STOP – (do not change the thread) cut excess fabric as shown on figure 4. Continue embroidery

December_02_05. 5179 stitches, 99.5 mm x 98.2 mm. Hoop one layer of water-soluble stabilizer (Vilene). Mark center of design on your fabric as shown on diagram 2. Start embroidery:

  1. Dark red
  2. Red
  3. Light red
  4. Light green
  5. Brown
  6. Christmas green
  7. Light green
  8. Red

December_02_08 Coaster. 4810 stitches. Hoop one layer of water-soluble stabilizer (Vilene). Place linen over the hoop and. Start embroidery:

  1. Brown
  2. Christmas green
  3. Light green
  4. Red
  5. Light green
  6. Don't change the thread. Place another linen piece under the hoop so that both sides of a coaster are neat. Start embroidery to stitch another outline
  7. STOP – remove hoop and cut excess fabric from the top and from the back. Place hoop back and continue to embroider. After embroidery is finished soak your coaster in water to dissolve the stabilizer. Flat dry, press from the back.
